Decided to take the opportunity while the dash was out to fix one of the last remaining fuckups from the previous owner.
Quick backstory: PO broke the key off in the ignition and decided the proper fix was to wire in a switch and push button start that tied into the aftermarket alarm system. He had the audio/tint/alarm shop next to his workplace do it and boy did they do a shitty job. The under dash was just a cluster of bundled wires and relays. I kind of left it alone because it worked and I liked having a remote for the locks.
So with the dash out I took to removing the alarm and trying to get the ignition switch to start the car again.
When all was said and done this is what I removed from under the dash. The power lock actuators are in there as well but you can still get the idea of what I was working with.
Steering column after the cleanup. I still need to tidy the radio and gauge wiring too but that will be a pretty quick job.
